Premier Driving School Courses
Premier BDE Curriculum
Our curriculum is designed to meet the latest requirements set by the Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO). New driving schools can purchase the Premier BDE Curriculum even before receiving Ministry approval to open, ensuring they meet all standards required to start their programs.
Beginner Driver Education BDE
The Beginner Driver Education (BDE) Course is an approved educational program for teaching defensive driving and promoting safer roads. The course currently includes: 20 hours of theory (in-class lessons) 10 hours of in-vehicle training 10 hours of flexible instruction/homework
Defensive Driving Course (DDC)
The Defensive Driving Course is designed to help experienced drivers reduce collisions and develop safer, more responsible driving habits for the long term.
In Ontario, a Defensive Driving Course may be required or strongly recommended for several reasons:
Court Order: Drivers convicted of serious offences—such as careless or stunt driving—may be
instructed by a judge to complete the program.
MTO Requirement: The Ministry of Transportation may require the course as part of the process to reinstate a suspended or cancelled licence.
High Demerit Points: Drivers who have accumulated excessive demerit points under the Highway Traffic Act may be ordered to complete the course to demonstrate improved driving behaviour.
Suspended or Cancelled Licence: Completing a Defensive Driving Course may be necessary before a licence can be reinstated.
Voluntary Enrollment: Many drivers choose to take the course proactively to enhance their driving skills, reduce the risk of collisions, or potentially qualify for insurance discounts.

Driver Improvement Course (DIC)

Air Brake Endorsement Course
The Air Brake Course is designed for drivers who plan to upgrade their licence to a higher class (such as A, C, D, etc.). Completion of this course is mandatory to operate vehicles equipped with an Air Brake System.
